Behind Career Rescue...
After 25 years in recruitment, I've sat on the other side of the desk for thousands of career conversations. I've interviewed, recruited and coached candidates at every stage of their working lives - and learned that the best candidate for the job isn't always the candidate with the tidiest career history.
I've also spent many hours taking job briefs and talking to clients about the people they want to hire - what makes someone stand out, what creates doubt, and what ultimately gives them the confidence to make an offer to that candidate. This insight into both sides of the recruitment process shapes the way I work with clients today.
I know personally the impact of being in a workplace culture that simply wasn't right for me - one that destroyed my confidence rather than allowing me to do my best work.
Career Rescue grew from that experience. For years I have wanted to create a safe place where job seekers can share exactly what is happening for them in their workplace, or in their job search. A place where career advice is practical and honest, but also human - where there is room for the setbacks as well as the achievements.

My goal is to help you understand where you are right now, share a fresh perspective, and figure out your next steps together. I’ll ask questions, challenge your thinking if it helps, and give you honest feedback from my years in recruitment.
Sometimes, I will spot strengths you may have missed. At times, you might hear something you didn’t expect. You don’t need to have all the answers before we meet – we'll work through it together.
